Change your passwords, don't accept email from strangers As is often the case with old unmaintained code, Melee was attacked and a vulnerability was found that allowed the database (including this one) to leak. Emails, password hashes, latest IP used to log into the game, probably even messages. The vulnerability was fixed, but the damage is done and of an unknown extent. Therefore, it is in your interest to change your password here, and if you don't have good password hygiene, change your passwords everywhere you have passwords. I recommend and have been using Bitwarden for years to create and manage separate secure passwords for every site. It has an app for everything. Watch out for emails they may try to phish you. Click on "Account" to change your email / password. Please note at this time the email system is probably not working, so if you can't get in, password reset requires contacting me by email, [email protected], or on Discord. The answer is always 4 Donators get a new feature where every captcha in the game is 4. Eventually this might get refactored to cost something periodically (because it does cost money to run this game), but for now, any amount donated will qualify. That was fun. Someone at the datacenter mistakenly unplugged our server and fried a couple hard drives, maybe even the whole thing, so I had to scramble to install the OS and server software on a new box. It's running PHP 7, which makes some things on this old code base broken (including melee). If & as I get time, I'll try to fix it. Donations are accepted, appreciated, and motivating
